yes, it needs to be legal. there are so many reasons why it should be legal and pretty much none for why it shouldnt be. did you know the united states is not a free country?because its not. a country that tells its citizens what they can or can not put into their own body has no right being called free. the war on drugs is an absolute disgrace to this country. it is wasting 20 billion dollars a year on doing absolutely nothing. those tv ads?they are a damn joke. weed is not addictive, you can not be addicted to weed. alcohol and tobacco combined kill over 500,000 times the amount of people weed does, because weed has never killed a single person in the history of man kind. You think if its legal than 12 year olds will be smoking it and people will be all ****** up walking around. think for a second before you say that, its very simply how it can be controlled and taxed and whatever the **** else the damn government wants to do with it. you give it the exact same rules and regulations and laws that cigarettes have. keeping weed ILLEGAL is actually getting more kids involved because drug dealers dont check id's. did you know if you smoke weed and shroom you are smarter and more intellectual than someone who doesnt?yea. it makes you think, it makes you concentrate. weed being illegal is limiting out societys potential of what it can be. for those of you who dont think it should be legal, give me a reason why it shouldt be you *******. you are only getting in the way of the inevitable that is going to happen. you are also ruining peoples lives by putting completely non violent people in jail. but ok yea keep spending 20 billion a year its really doing this country a lot of good....

smoke weed, eat shrooms, listen to tool, let it overwhelm you and for god sakes get out of our way

Yes and not just because I smoke it.

Marijuana is proven to provide significant health benefits to people who suffer from chronic illnesses. Cancer and AIDS patients, especially benefit from the pain reducing aspects of marijuana, and also the fact that it helps increase apetite.

I think the only reason marijuana is not legal is because there is no way for the government to tax it. There have been no reported deaths associated with marijuana use alone and alcohol, by comparison, is a far more deadly vice.

Also, I think crime would go down significantly if marijuana were legalized. Studies have shown that Amsterdam has shown a decrease in crime since marijuana was legalized.

God yes. The only reason it was made illegal in the first place was because a mexican who came to america in the 1910's was accused of being high after being in a fight in a bar. Now the reason why it is still illegal in most places in the U.S. is because the government makes craploads of money off of it. It is less harmful than alcohol and ciggarettes, but both are legal. I am very happy medicinal marijuana has been allowed in some states.

Yes. All the valid scientific evidence on marijuana shows it is less damaging than alcohol or tobacco in most if not all ways. It is also useful for medicinal and general industrial purposes. The laws against mj are an unneccessary drain on our economy and our law enforcement resources.

Yes, I think it should be legal. Think of it this way. Alcohol is legal... alcohol causes liver disease, addiction, hangovers, vomiting, headaches, and it causes a lot of people to become violent, angry or sad, and it can kill you, pretty easily. What does pot do? Marijuana is mellowing, and you can never, EVER, overdose on it. You'll fall asleep before you can smoke enough of it for it to hurt you.

Should be legalized for everyone. One should not have to be sick / in pain to legally have it.

Lets look at health. Alcohol kill show many people every year, it is legal!! How many people does marijuana kill every year, none!
