Instead of people just writing to him, why not help him to get out and meet people? Join a club with him, a reading club at your local book store or library, an athletic club (volleyball is a great sport and so much fun and co-ed), volunteer at the local animal shelter. Find something he is interested in and get involved in it. He'll make more friends and possibly get a girlfriend in the process. Good luck and God Bless.

i will if your friend doesn't mind talking to a happily married woman of 10 years. Maybe I could help your friend out of his shyness just by talking with him and give him some advise on how to get a lady.
