Did you ever notice?

I know I probably should have asked this Monday, but I finally sat down and watched Austin's return on youtube and it struck me---Did you ever notice how the crowds reaction's to Austin's appearances are an all-out roar but when Cena comes out you hear nothing but teenage girls screeching?

Yea I missed the good ol' days when EVERYONE cheered

The new stars do not have the 'drawing power' of stars such as Austin or Undertaker. Absence does make the heart grow fonder and the crowd 'popped' for Austin. But did you see the reaction to the 'taped' promo from the Rock? That was a crowd reaction. A much louder pop than Austin. Vince needs to 'know his role'...cough up the bucks...and get the People's Champ back in the WWE. The Rock, or Austin, working with 'future' stars such as Batista and Orton would help the company tremendously.

Oh...the reason that I did mention anything about hiring Austin full time...is that he is already a 'lifetime' employee of WWE just not in a wrestling capacity (WWE Films).

Well Austin defies authority and makes Monday nights worth watching. Cena is just a plain "good guy" and even though he may be a great wrestler he still gets boring. The only reason John Cena has alot of cheers for him is because a lot of girls dig his chiseled abs and such. Like my little 13 yr old sis for an example never watched wrestling in her life, but now she watches it with me because she thinks John Cena is cute. I miss the good old days where The Rock and Stone Cold battled it out or Stone Cold vs the NWO.....hopefully Stone Cold is here to stay.

Well that's because Austin is a legend and appeals to a wider audience. Cena on the other hands is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame. He is nothing more than a "teen idol". If you saw the match where he and HBK went up against Batista and The Undertaker, Cena got booed every time he got in the ring. The real fans have spoken.

Well I'm not a teenage girl and i screech every time i see Cena. But I do see that too. Wrestling needs to go back to the good old days.

i always love the men cheering. thats bcoz the girls only know bodies not wrestling skills. did u notice that there are no girl cheers when austin came. that's the same thing when the rock made a promo. only men cheered for him. women are just smiling bcoz of wot he said about the word umaga (btw it means shriveled up monkey p***s.)

Yes I miss those days the "attitude era" in my opinion there were only three that made everyone stand up immediately Stone Cold, The Rock and Undertaker when he had the bike.

I agree! Which it isn't helping cena being a rapper, marine, and so on. With Austin its a suprise because you have no idea what is going to happen next.

hell yea i noticed it. Monday night made me miss the attitude era really bad. It reminded me of how awesome it was, with mick foley, stone cold, and even shane mcmahon, that portion of the show was 100000 times better than the rest of it. Then the main event doesn't happen because edge is a puss...it just showed how great the attitude era was and how much this era sucks!
