I have seen quotes fropm many Muslims in America who want to see the destruction of Israel, and side with the terrorists in Iraq. I think it's high time we register all Muslims in this country- so at the very least the government can keep tabs on where they all are, and what they are doing. America is a Christian nation, not a Muslim nation. Where do you stand on this?

I have to disagree, America is built on immigration. There's people of all cultures living under one roof so to speak. You have Christians, Muslims, Jews, Atheists, and everything else. I doubt any single religion doesn't have more than a few followers in America.

Also what do you do about Christians who spread hatespeech against any other persons, beliefs, or lifestyles?

People in the USA should embrace their Muslim neighbours, and be kind to them. If you are Christian, then they do not need to agree with you for your to be their friend. This will bridge the gap. And then instead of hatespeech people will say "well I know good Americans, I do not wish to harm them and I will not stand for this!" This will change the thinking of many Muslims who just see their families overseas dying and blame the USA instead of the militant forces generated by the upheaval of the war.

Also, America is the "land of the free" so if you go infringing on these American's rights, the land becomes less free. Not to mention the huge cost involved in registering everyone, who's going to foot that bill?

It is unethical and unfeasible. They must be embraced into America not shunned from it. They are Americans too and must be granted the same rights and privileges.

There would be nothing racist about forcing Muslims to register because being Muslim doesn't mean you belong to any particular race. It's the same way with being a Christian. Anyone can become Muslim or Christian. You are right about America being a Christian nation. The Founding Fathers certainly were not Muslims. It would make sense for Muslims to be forced to register. Most people seem to remember that it was Muslims that caused the 9-11 terrorist attack. They would have been easier to identify if they had been registered. Perhaps, that attack could have been prevented.

Thats a very uncivilized (and very un-Christian) way to deal with this problem. At the end of WWII everyone was shocked to learn the types of things Hittler put in place. Now it makes me sad, to say the least, to see that we are no different than the Nazi Germans.

More than a "Christian Nation," the US is a free nation. Muslim does not mean terrorist, in fact its too far from it.

"Let us never fight with falsehood and violence and hate and malice but always fight with love so that, when the day comes that the walls...completely tumble... we will be able to live with people as their brothers."

America is not a "christian" nation(most christians don't even know the real meaning of christianity anymore) it is a nation of many religions. Saying Muslims should register is like saying Mexicans shoould register or like protistants should register. America is supposed to be the land of the free--you are free to ask your racist question--people of different faiths and ethnicitys should be allowed to be left alone to be free themselves.

Hi
The nation was founded on Judeo-Christian values but we are all foreigners in this land. This is a land of the free and the brave. It would be unfair to have a registration for one religion. We already do a census. I also love Israel and agree that there are cruel terrorists of the Islamic faith that would like to destroy Israel and America, but we must be smarter in our use of Intelligence(CIA, FBI). If we require registration for every Muslim, it won't solve anything and it will be like discriminating. The best thing to do is for Americans to keep our eyes and ears open and report any suspicious activity.

Why Muslims? I am not aware of anything we should fear from Muslims. The US government on the other hand should be kept in close watch. It has provoked attacks on its population for years as a means of justifying war. It provoked Mexico into attacking a troop by sending them to disputed territory, just as it provoked Wahabis by invading the gulf in '91. Let's be clear, 9/11 was not an unprovoked attack. The innocent victims in the towers owe their sad tragedy to a meddlesome US gov. It is known that the US conspicuously planned an attack on Bin Laden before he decided to attack the towers. Similarly, the Japanese were aware of the deployment of bombardiers into Hawaii for the purpose of fire bombing Japanese paper cities. Pearl Harbor was not unprovoked.
Unprovoked was the US led coup in 1953 Iran, 1954 Guatemala, among numerous others. If anyone should be kept on a close watch for being prone to violating human rights and international law... that's the US gov.

I am a christian.....and if i went to another country and they made me register i would feel like i was being incriminated for my religion....which according to the first admendment (which our fore father's wrote.....very intellegent people) we have the freedom of religion......not just christianity religion.

I think you're idea is poppy crack and if i were a muslim it would make me feel like i were a jew in hitler's germany. Also remember how in WWII we put all of our asian citizen's in camp....that was wrong in so many ways.

We are the American Melting pot....if you don't like that move to Cananda.
