I'm so worried. I'm 22 weeks pregnant. 2 nights ago the baby was moving like crazy, all through the night and into yesterday. He just kept moving and moving. Then i laid down for bed last night and he moved for just a little and completely stopped moving. An hour passed while I was laying down and he didn't move. I fell asleep and woke up today and he still hasn't moved yet today. What is going on? I'm so worried about him.

You are 22 weeks along which means at this stage the frequency of noticeable movements varies a great deal. Although the fetus is stirring almost continuously, only some of these movements are strong enough for you to feel. Others may be missed because of the fetal position (facing and kicking inward, instead of outward). It's also possible that you're sleeping right through your baby's most active period, for many, it is the middle of the night. You can try to get up and walk for 5 minutes, then take a glass of juice and lie down on your left side. If this does not work, and you are panicked, I would suggest you call your practitioner especially since you have previously been feeling fetal movement. It is completely normal to be worried. I worry all the time...and am now 39.5 weeks along. Don't hesitate to go in to have it checked out if you are quite worried. Best of luck.

I would say to drink some OJ or some sugary drink, a whole glass, as fast as you can without making you sick. This should wake little baby up. Lay down and just relax, and see if he moves. At 22 weeks, there may be days that they dont move much, which is why you dont start kick counts until around 28 weeks. I asked my doctor about this around this time too...and she said that is why we dont do kick counts this early...you may not feel him...but he could be moving.

If after the OJ, and maybe a little poking on your part he/she still does not move, call your doctor, or just go into labor and delivery. Better to know...than stress about it!!!

Good luck!!!

Don't stress yourself too much-- Call your doctor and see if you can run in so that they can check for a heart beat. They may also recommend that you lay on your side, relax, and record how many movements you feel... Baby sometimes won't move aggressively for a day or two-- (especially later in the pregnancy) if you are up moving around, then you might not feel that slight movement... Try not to stress.

Dont worry just yet. Dont forget babies sleep too. The movement also depends on where they are position in you and how they are positioned. Have you tried getting the baby to move or rouse.Shifting the pressure of your hand on your tummy can help to do this. If you are truly worried you can call your local health clinic and they can tell you what to do and can give you more information. Most communities have help lines set up for expecting and new parents. It is for answering all questions when it comes to these things. Find out if there is one in your community of health region. I hope this helps. Good luck and Good health to you and yours!

Some days my baby moves around to the point where it's almost annoying, and other days I barely feel a "twitch" all day long. I am 23 weeks pregnant, and all last week the baby was very calm, but this week I think he must have got his hands on a pogo stick or something. Have you tried drinking something either warm or cold? that seems to get my little one going.

If your baby isn't moving call your healthcare provider right away!!
There is a possibility that your baby is in a growth spurt and sleeping the days away (I'm 21 weeks pregnant and mine does this) But if you are worried, either call your Dr or go to labour and delivery. Trust your gut!!!

Go see your doctor.

If the baby is usual active and then stops the doctor needs to know about this. Let your doctor know and tell them you are concerned. They may do an ultrasound to make sure the baby is ok.

Hope everything is fine. And Congratz
