Regret is guilt being misused.
Regret nothing. Every action is a lesson we can learn from.
If we learned anything from it, then there is nothing to regret.
Life goes on. Make the most of it, don't wallow in the past.
Love and blessings Don

I think regret isn't good at all, but if i had my choice i'd say that I'd really regret things I haven't done, because the things I did were all done with some purpose maybe good maybe bad but I'm sure I was taught a lesson by that situation, but the things I've never done ..that I can't get back... It never existed, and that to me would leave an empty space in my life.
That's why we should always try to live life to it's fullest so that there are no regrets, but if you make some mistakes along the way just believe that you were taught a good lesson somewhere in there. God Bless You!

For me I regret more on the thing which I haven't done than the things Ive dared to try. The most painful about regretting the things you havent done is the "what-if" statement. What if it would've been much better if only I tried but you cant bring back the time and try it again.Unlike if you did commit something, and have mistakes, at least , you know what it is and you discovered how it feels, how it is done . It is also way for you to learn from it. You dont know what your fate will bring or coincidences in life. Not even deja vu nor seredipity explains the mystery of getting things done. So take chances. Take your best shot at any given chances cos, who knows what it will bring you and avoid the most painful "what-if" and "only if" statements.

I would say its better to regret what you've done compared to what you haven't done. With what you've done; you can easily say "Man...I should have done this instead of that..." Where as when you think of things you haven't done; your interest in certain things are always constantly changing. Due to society, your friends, your views on life... so there really is no way of knowing what you haven't done.

I only regret things that I havent done.
Some of the things I have done may have been foolish but I learnt something even from the worst of them. But when you let fear or safety stop you from doing things , or dont do something because of what the neighbours might say thats when you are not living your life to its full potential and thats what you will regret as your life gets shorter.

I would say it's better to regret the things you haven't done. Nobody wants to live in the past.

Tough question.
I think regret serves as a mechanism to prevent one from repeating mistakes, but it can also serve as an obstacle for growth and risk taking if we dwell on it too much. In the long run, whats done is done, and can rarely be undone so, let's move on. If one never has anything to regret, it probably means that one has never really lived.
To quote Alexander Graham Bell:
"When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us."

Take a tip from someone who knows - it's far, far better to regret something you've done. You've always got the chance to "un-do" it, but a missed opportunity is gone for ever.

thats a hard one, I would rather regret something I have done then something I haven't as that would be a missed oppurtunity that you can never get back.
I suppose its along the lines of 'its better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all'

I have no use for regret in my life at all.
We all make mistakes in our lives, and probably pass on some good opportunities, but as I walk along the "road of life," my backpack has no room for regrets. They are totally useless; they weigh you down and take up space.
You learn from your mistakes, and you move forward.

It is better to regret only whatever can be corrected or straightened up now or in the near future.... what can not be corrected should not be regretted, since it would amount to negative vibes that serve no purpose.
