I believe the box office turn over was extremely good. But i also know for a fact that sasha coren baron got beat up in new york because of the film. He recieved just minor cuts and a few stitches to his head.

for some reason it went over very well here - people loved it & it received some "oscar buzz" (not sure if it actually won any academy awards, but think it was nominated).
i personally don't get it - don't think sasha cohen is all that funny and don't like humor at the expense of others. but, what do i know? i hated "something about mary" and asked for my money back at the theatre - everyone else i know thought it was histerical.

I watched the film in a cinema in Germany close to a very large US military base. The film was in English and the Americans in front of us laughed at the film, while completly missing the point. A few rows back we were laughing at the film and them!

I think it was received very well. It is now the highest grossing movie that opened in less than 1000 theatres.

I thought it sucked. The only part I laughed in was when they are in the ice cream truck with the bear and all the little kids come running to the truck for ice cream and the bear growls at them instead and they all go running & screaming. Yeah besides that it wasn't funny.

currently on rottentomatoes.com, it has a "fresh" rating of 91%; thats pretty rare for a comedy movie. thie dvd has been released last tuesday.

i watched it and thought it was pretty damn funny, but a lot of people found it offensive/stupid. they have no sense of humor. =(
