I think you mean virtual memory.

Sounds like low virtual memory. Virtual memory is a way operating systems, like windows, trick themselves into allocating more memory than they actually. Every time you minimize a window, or open a new, in windows your computer only keeps the current application in memory. The other ones are put into “virtual memory”. That is one of the reasons it can take so long to switch between windows, your computer is doing a lot more than changing what is on your screen.

Virtual memory has limits too, and sometimes in windows can cause more problems that it is worth. You could try only running what you need to and keeping other programs closed. If you are still getting that error there may be another problem. For instance, does restarting your computer help, but only for awhile? You should call your computer maker if that is the case.

If you keep what you have running to just what you need and this doesn’t fix it, you are going to need to call your computer maker, or look up online yourself, how to change or turn off virtual memory. Sometimes this can cause a performance loss, but I’ve done it before on a few systems and it didn’t really seem to affect anything. Or, you could do it yourself right now.

You can get to your virtual memory like this

Hold down your windows key and hit the pause button.
This will open your systems properties windows.
Select the advanced tab.
Click the Settings button under performance. This will open a new window.
Select the advanced tab.
Click the change button under virtual memory.
Write down its current settings.
You can select the ‘no paging’ option and it will turn virtual memory off. If that doesn’t fix the problem, or causes other problems, you can follow these steps again to turn it back on.

Do you mean Virtual Memory? If you do then you need to close some of the programs that you have open but are not using.
