In the past week I have found weird spots around my house?

These sposts are groups of small black shiny dots about the size of a sharpie dotted on the floor. I found the first group on my window sill, next on our kitchen counter, and now the third on my floor. It is shiny and grouped together. Could it be some sort of bug or animal leaving it? I live in Texas. Any ideas of what it is?

It sounds like mold. There may be too much moisture in the house. Clean it up and use a mixture of bleach water and see if it returns.
