Never leave one in that long(toxic shock syndrome)
Take them out every 2-3 hrs.
Use vaseline if it helps to insert.
U dont wait for it to fill up, change them things often.
A kotex is better.

no no no..dont wait 12 hours. Make sure you take it out after 8 hours or you could get tss. If it hurts that much then you shouldnt be using a tampon. Use a pad. Fyi, always use pads when your sleeping because you might sleep for more than 8 hours. Hope this helps.

You shouldn't leave it in that long. Bacteria could build up and put you at the risk of toxic shock syndrome. Tampax makes a junior and a light or slender tampon. I would replace it every 4 hours during the day. It's ok to wear it for 8 hours overnight, but not longer than that.

Careful, you are not supposed to leave tampons in that long.
If you change it often, it is not dangerous nor will they harm you. That's an old myth and if you follow the instructions, you will be fine. Leaving tampons in for long periods of time can give you Toxic Shock Syndrome and that is dangerous.

They are not supposed to fill up. if it hurts, you just need to put vaseline or some other lubricant while inserting, then it should be fine.

The longer you leave a tampon in the more likely your are to get toxic shock syndrome (TSS). It is important to change tampons frequently. It can be dangerous to leave tampons in for more then 8 hours. You should also use the lowest absorbency possible for your flow. You did not specify your age, if you are still in your teens then that makes your risk even more.

NEVER EVER!!! Leave a tampon in for longer than 8 hours!!! That's extremely dangerous!!! You could get toxic shock syndrom and end up in the hospital. I never even leave mine in for that long. If your flow isn't heavy enough for the extra light flow tampons, then don't use them. Just use a pad.

It is never a good idea to wait that long. Instead try a menstrual cup like the Instead brand. It inserts like a diaphram and can be worn for up to 12 hrs.

To avoid pain, if possible you can use a douche bottle to saturate the tampon and make for easier removal. I would recommend using sterile or distilled water to prevent possible infection.

Also removing a "dry" tampon can cause small tears in the vaginal wall and increase possible infection risk.

Hope this helps.

if your periods aren't heavy enough to fill up a lite tampon then you shold wear a pad or a panty liner. the longest you're suppsed to keep a tampon in is 6 hours. otherwise you run the risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome).
