I remember this golden dollar coin coming out around 2000 or 2001.
But tt never really took off. And you never see them.
Just like the S.B.A. coin. As of 2007, are they still being produced.
If they are I think I'll go to the bank, get a bunch.
Wonder if anyone will take them?

The sac dollar has been minted all along. Some years the mint didn't put any out in circulation and sold them as collectors items. Still mintage's in the 2 to 3 million from 2002 -2006. Now in order to put out the presidential dollars, the law stated the mint also had to produce the Sac's, so they will be struck sometime this year but I have no idea if the mint will sell them or if they will actually get out to the banks.

"Historic Change in 2007 featuring Presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison. The United States is honoring our Nation's Presidents by issuing $1 circulating coins featuring their images in the order that they served"
