Change your cold air return filters, get the type that is by 3M - Dust mites and pollen reducers.
What type of dusting spray do you use? We like the white or blue can from Pledge. One is Allergen removing and the other is clean and dust. Works great, lasts about a week or so.
If you have an ac/heat unit that has an outside set-up like its fan box, make sure there are no pollen producing plants hanging over the fan, this could cause you to have large amounts of dust.
Cut shrubbery back from it by at least 2 feet.
Wash beddings and vacuum drapes every week. Dust out windows and backs of T.v.s make sure you vacuum carpets, they are #1 in promoting dust in a home. The older the carpet, the more dust.
Coming from a allergy sufferer!! We clean like heck!!
Good Luck!

I used to live in an area that was really dusty... here's a couple of hints:
1) change your air filter
2) dust with a vacuum and the fuzzy brush
3) dust everything! walls, ceiling, pictures, table tops
Happy Dusting!

The only way is dusting and vacuuming. Dust is in the air, and will soon wind up clinging to furniture, and landing on your floors. I dust two or three times a week in the summer, with the windows open, and at least once a week in the winter, with the house closed up. Dusting is always a work in progress.

what kind of heat do you have? if you burn wood or coal you are going to have dust till you stop. if you have a heat pump be sure to change your filters at least once a month. if you live in a warm area and have your windows open you will have dust even with the screens in. use a good polish like pledge when you dust.

You might want to have the ductwork of your heating system cleaned, along with cleaning or replacing the filters of your furnace.
Another thing you can try is getting an air cleaner, especially if the area you live in is prone to dust.
Is your vacuum cleaner working as it should? I've noticed they tend to throw a lot of dust around if there's a problem.
Good luck!

the battle for a dusk free home is a neverending epic battle......cause you don't get rid of it.....it always comes back.
try keeping your windows open when you dust or get a dusk vacume, when you just dust something off its only kicking the dust in the air. then it all fals back down on what you just dusted

You have to find out where the dust is coming from, then maybe you can control the problem.
