I think so. Most likely however it is falling in love with a persona or an idea of what you think the other person is like. Remember, your perception is your reality. How many times have you listened to a hot person on the radio, guy or gal, and when you see them in person for the first time you say "OH my god!" what a dork. If you truly think you are falling in love on line you must validate that in some way. Even asking for photos on line is not always accurate. Best thing is a face to face in a public area that YOU choose. Have a friend nearby watching you. If you get the same feelings after seeing this person then cautiously go for it. Make sure things add up and your not setting yourself up for a big let down. Age is always a factor predators are abundant out there even off line.
I don't mean to scare anyone off but realizes the risk you may be taking if you think your in love on line and secretly meet a cereal killer at a hotel.
True love may be hard to come by at times but you as a person are always special and more important to people then you may realize. So if you find yourself falling in love take it one logical step at a time. If it is for real the other person should feel the same way about safety and be more attracted to a level headed and beautiful person more then a one night stand.

I imagine that if "love at first sight" exists, then you can fall in love over the internet. My theory is supported by the fact that, for example, if a man sees a woman and instantly "falls in love with her" without knowing anything about her. But out of pure attraction he takes the intiative to pursue her, why couldnt the same be done over the internet? Over the internet you "chat" and send emails and get to know a person almost in the same fashion as meeting a mate and exchanging numbers with them. I know a couple that met over the internet in the year 2000 and married in 01. To this day they are still married and actually have an admirable relationship. This is only my opinion, but i believe if u can fall in love with someone through letters, or over the phone, then why couldnt you do it over the internet? I only caution that you be careful and take as many steps as you can to protect certain private information as your home address, phone number, job/school location, ect. (ESPECIALLY if you are under 18!!!!) Just as there are a lot of good people out there, there are a lot of wierdos!

It is very possible to fall in love with the IDEA of a person, that is, someone you think that online person is. However if you've never met, then you don't really know them and you'll end up being sorely disappointed.
If you meet and continue an online and REAL time relationship, then yes, it could happen.

It is possible in some way. Like it is possible to fall in love with a moviestar.
but it is rather called infatuation since you dont really know the person. You might chat with that person though about anything and you make each other feel good. But you can never be sure if what you see is his/her real personality.
You are actually building a castle on clouds.

Yes it is. Alot of people say you have to meet face to face first. I say that's a bunch of bull. If both people are straight with each other and even talked on the phone, why not? How do blind people fall in love? They never get to meet face to face. You fall in love with someone for who they are, not what they look like. So, I say yes, definitely, to your question.

Well, I think you can meet someone and become interested in that person online, but I really think you have to see and meet a person to know them well enough to fall in love with them.

yes and no...it is possible, but you never know for sure that the other person isn't just pretending to be someone they're not. Online is so anonymous, they could be anyone. Just be careful...

That's a tough one. Some people claim it's happen to them. I can't say I can see it happening. What if one of the people are doing nothing but lying. Their photo may not really be them, they could lie about who they really are, their looks, family, etc.
