why is god so impaling?

Assuming you meant what you spelled.

I know at times it can seem that way if you follow the popular religious fantasy about a judgmental punishing God. The thing that we need to ask ourselves is, does any of this make any sense.

Would any God with the ability to create anything as grand as the universe, really be as petty as religion tells us that He is.

I personally have some serious doubts.

Love and blessings Don

Boy, this is a wonderful question, "Why is God so impaling?" When I see the word "impaling", I think of Vlad Tepes, aka Count Dracula, famous for joyously impaling thousands of prisoners, mostly foreign solders. I've never quite thought of God in the same way, even though the Old Testament is full of other things he has done to people, including drownings, burnings, bashings, slayings, starvings, scatterings and general mayhem. But the word "impale" is not in the bible, so maybe he has a reservation about impaling people.

"Impaling?" Methinks you've used a word your not used to using. God is not "Piercing." He's loving. Merciful. So, again, how hard is it to hang out with a loving, merciful person? I, can't remember...
