If you watch it yourself, you'll have a much better chance of doing well.

Good question. I too would suggest you get the dvd and watch it. My reaction to it was as follows. I found it to be very accurate and compelling in its presentation. I was a bit dissatisfied that Mr. Gore used the extreme end of various ranges for a few of his arguments, such as the rates at which various ice caps are melting. But his main arguments in my view are indisputable and for a long long while I was reluctant to accept what I have now come to believe are the facts of global warming.

I would suggest you do one other thing. Conduct an archive search in some of our best newspapers such as the Washington Post, the New York Times, San Francisco Examiner, Cleveland Plain Dealer, etc. Go to their seach box and type in global climate change or inconvenient truth and see what you get. These will lead you to some original researchers, their papers, and their results which you can obtain through the library system or simply use what you find in your search of the newspapers. Hope this helps a little.

I thought that that documentary was so eye opening and frightening. I think that Al Gore was the only person that was brave enough to move past the politics and tell it like it is. I think the government was keeping the situation behind closed doors because they didnt have a solution. That is why, after the documentary came out, the government finally decided to address the situation (you can't tell me that as knowledgable and powerful as the government is, they didn't know anything about global warming until Al Gore came up with it). If you haven't seen it, you should. Not for the sake of your paper, but because it is such a good movie. It is a little frightening too.

the biggest criticism that I have heard about that movie is that it only shows the worst possibilities of what "might happen". It is based in science, but he only shows you the worst case scenerio, not the most likley scenario.
