Result of being single and alone?

What happens to people who goes years without any physical contact with someone of the opposite sex.

Well this is an interesting question. You see when you are single and alone it is not the same as when you share everything with someone. This is the psyhcology moment, when you just need to be with someone.
THe thing is that not all couples are happy and not all single people are sad.
Still when yo uare single eventhough you are happy with yourself and choices that you made ( to be alone not in a bad relationship), still there is something crashed inside.

You are happy, but something is missing...you tend to ignore that...but it becomes more and more evident. You have everything, but you miss the most important love. You have love ...but you are not in love with someone. And you hope every single day that particulary that day you will find the right one. And plus it is the anxiety present about if we will find that person eventually. You keep wondering that maybe it is just a fantasy...yes that's a fact the right one doesn't apper when we want, but when it is meant to be.

And about physicall contact, you just know that you are single and you don't see that as a problem. But of course physical contact is missing and it is not the same as people who have it.

but you just move on like that not wondering what is missing until the day you find someone special and realize that indeed you miss everything :)

I spose you either get a pretty good appreciation for who you are as a person and work on refining your qualities and the qualities you'd like to enhance, or you get depressed thinking of what's missing from your life.

Depends on the level of their libido. With a low level it can be very rewarding, as a lot of conflict is avoided.
