Are scientists exempt from moral quilt in the persute of their objective research?

Are scientist immoral when they say science only look for truth and is not interested in how truth is used . If you say science is only interested in truth not good or bad then where those nazie scientist/doctors experimenting on jews and prisoners not behaving badly and because they where doing science should not have been convicted of crimes against hmanity

but could you not then say american scientists working on the atomic bombs droped on japan where sadistic monsters -since they new the effects that bomb would produce on human flesh

Research has to take into consideration the rights and safety of their subject.
Researchers are after the truth, but you cannot obtain that truth by torturing people it violates all ethical standards of research. What was conducted in concentration camps was not research it was sick, sadistic torture by a mentally disturbed person who called himself a reseacher.
