Provided they have good shade (no sunscreen) and are dressed appropriately for weather, as soon as you like. I wouldn't take them out in the wind or anything but babies can go outside at anytime.

It is perfectly fine to take strolls outside with baby as soon as they are home. However, try to limit outings with large groups of people because your baby hasnt had any immunizations until they are about 2 months. When people come over, make sure proper handwashing is performed before they handle the baby.

Why right away!! Just protect little eyes and new skin from the sun and or couse, wrap up for the cold. Not suggesting we go for a stroll in a blizzard, but babies need fresh air and sunshine just as we do. Most babies love it outside, and it is a good way to calm an otherwise fussy little booger.

Most people are saying as soon as the first week. Baby's need fresh air and they cannot get sick any easier that way. They mostly get sick from being inside since that is where viruses live and from being handled by tons of people. I say whenever you are ready just make sure the baby is dressed appropriately, like if its cool out, dress them in one extra layer than you, if its warm, one less layer. And also limit to the handling by everybody and make sure they wash their hands and everything will be fine. Good luck!

a lot of people are old fashioned and dont think it is proper to take them out the first few weeks but i think that is bull. unless the baby was a preemie that would be the only exception because their immune system still needs more development. i took my son out within a couple daysof him being born to visit family and shopping and so forth and he is a perfectly healthy boy. i think it is to each thier own really. if your newborn was a fullterm baby who has had no medical problems, chances are, taking him out will be good for you both!

Well, unless you had a homebirth, the baby obviously went outside to be taken home from the hospital. There's no reason to keep them indoors all the time. Take them outside. Take them for a walk in their stroller or in a sling. Take them to the store when you go shopping.

Babies can go outside as soon as you want, provided they are dressed appropriately, and kept in the shade in places where the sun is shining bright. (You can of course shade the baby with a blanket or something)

The thing that is not recommended is bringing baby to crowded areas, such as the mall, Church, etc. for the first few weeks. She really needs to build up her immune system first.

Also, make sure anyone who touches your baby washes his/her hands first!

I took my daughter out shopping when she was 4 days old, the day after I got home from the hospital. She is 6 months now, and she is healthy as can be. There is no problem taking your child out. There is no rule as to when they can go out, its up to the parent, and how you feel about it.

Right away. I went to a birthday party (outdoor) with my 2nd child when she was 1 day old and my 1st child was out and about at 3 days old.
