I'm looking for fullness rather than length but the wand has to have short bristles for obvious reasons.

L'Oreal's your best bet. Depending on your requirements, they have different types of mascara's for length, fullness, curl, etc. Take your pick!

Good luck.

Maybelline Full N' Soft. Wipe with tissue and wiggle wand while applying. It deposits more mascara at base and makes lashes look long and full. Curl lashes before. Revlon's is a cheap yet excellent curler, Shu Uemura is expensive yet the best.

Maybelline Lash Stylist is also a good bet in case the bristles from full n soft are too big for you

Perhaps you need to lengthen your lashes instead of worrying about bristles.

If you can curl your eyelashes (simple eyelash curlers - the brands Nars and Shu Uemura are excellent choices) before applying mascara.

Try Revlon's Lash Fantasy. The primer really works. It truly lengthens the lashes, you needn't think of small bristles. This has to be done bit by bit. Wait for the primer to dry and it can be like building bridges or an annex building for your lashes. Apply the black mascara itself when you're quite satisfied with your primer-lengthened lashes. (This really works. Even on lashes that are so thin, feathery and scarce, they sort of resemble an almost naked quill.)

After that, swipe L'Oreal's Volume mascara. This really pumps up the fullness. The first time I wore L'Oreal's volume mascara alone, I was asked why I was wearing false eyelashes.

You might also want to try falsies. Shu Uemura has quite the selection of false eyelashes. Excellent glamour picks.

Happy Hunting.

I just bought one of the Sephora-brand mascaras. I think it is the lash-lengthening mascara. The wand has short bristles and the mascara doesn't seem prone to clumping.

With over mascaras i put 2 on @ the same time so you can see i have lashes but maxfactors master peice master works on its on. It covers every lash and gives the full length. You can buy it from bots or superdrug hope you love it!

I have extremely short lashes. I've treid many brands of mascara. I tried Avon's Astonishing Lengths Mascara recently, and my lashes tapped against my eyeglasses. I will use this stuff for the rest of my life!!!

Max Factor Masterpiece Max. No bristly bits from the wand and makes your lashes look great. Even my hubby said my eyes "looked different" so if a man notices it must be good stuff.

the best drug-store mascara would be Covergilr's Volume-Exact ($7), but if you pay a little more, Este Lauder's More Than Mascara is amazing ($15)!
