I recently took my girlfriend into the hospital because she thought she had an urinary track infection...........the doctor called back and said they have found a c cell or see cell or sea cell or se cell.......but some sort of c cell in her........does anyone know what that is?.........im worried because her mom told me maybe the meant "c" for cancer but im sure he wouldv'e said cancer........help me out here

maybe the used an abbreviation for clue cells. These are bacterial cells commonly found in the vagina. Maybe when she provided the urine sample vaginal discharge also mixed with the urine. RELAX, not a big deal...

no idea, speak to the doctor again, or your GP, don't spend time worrying, just pick up the phone and ask. Have it explained then you will be able to understand, then your stress levels will lower.

If it was the Big C, then I think she would have been put in hospital for more test.

it is also called parafollicular cell. it is a cell in the thyroid that produces calcitonin. her mom is a nut job, getting ya';ll all worked up and doesn't know what she is talking about.

Calcitonin decreases the absorption of calcium in blood 3 ways, one is through the kidneys and decreases the reabsorption of calcium and phosphorus in the tubules. that is why this hormone is there. hope this makes sense and is helpful
