They have tried but it won't work because they keep hitting loopholes that hurt them. Like the fcc the problem they have is that you can't regulate radio like they have with fm and am radio and more and more of us have figured it out and won in court. It's a American right not a licensed process like they are trying to make it. :)

RIAA sucks. they are suing college students now for up to 1 billions. greedy assholes.
