An undergraduate is someone has not yet achieved a diploma such as an associates or bachelors degree. Postgraduate is someone who is attending college for their Master's, Ph.D (etc).

Undergraduate is a term for someone before they receive their Bachelor's Degree. Postgraduate is someone going on in college after they get their Bachelor's Degree, to get their Master's or PHD.
