I had the same problem with my daughter when she was little. Is she able to swallow a regular antibiotic pill? This is what I had to do, because she just wouldn't take the liquid or the chewables. Or try putting it into soda, or apple sauce or even ice cream (milkshake)....keep the portion small tho so she gets it all.

Word of warning, some people advise pretending the fairies left it for her and putting it in a nice bottle or putting their favourite colouring in it etc be careful if you use any kind of con tactics as you wouldn't want her to think anything in a pretty bottle or her favourite colour is safe to drink. I think it's best to try and explain that the doctor has given this medicine to make her body do magic and make itself better, try a little bribe if you need to but ultimately I agree that you have to assert your authority at a young age. If all gentle things fail lean her back slightly and insert it in safe manageable bits into the side of her mouth with a medicine syringe. Good Luck!!

If she is spitting it out when you use a med syringe then you are not putting the syringe in properly. Put the syringe into her mouth straight back, not far enough to gag her but far enough that when you shoot the medicine into her mouth she has not choice but to swallow. Reward her for taking her medicine. Also if she has missed a lot of doses be sure to report this to her doc in case he want's to keep her on the medicine longer.

Uh... jeez, not even mixing it in juice worked?? She's one tough cookie. Maybe... naw... Well... Try the juice again and tell her that there's a magic ingredient in it that will make her feel better. Wait... how well can 3 year olds talk and understand?

Sorry. This was probably no help at all.

Make sure it is the flavored kind. Lots of kids won't take medicine that is "Yucky." Or you could always try the good 'ol
Quid Pro Quo....Offer her something that she really wants in return for taking all of her medicine.

Bribery! Have a popsicle- after she takes it.
Put it in chocolate or strawberry milk- and don't tell her. (My kids never noticed!)
Get it in pill form, crush it and mix it with pudding.
If all else fails, you'll still need to make sure she knows YOU are the boss- SHE is NOT! It's hard, but if you don't claim the authority now, you'll have to when she's older- and it's not fun!
I know it sounds mean, but sometimes, you just have to 'pinch the nose- down it goes' thing.

Is it the pink kind? Kids usually love to take that stuff! Seeing as you have tried everything why don't you call the pharmacy and ask them if maybe you can get it flavored. Have her pick the flavor she wants

pinch her nose so she can't smell it, then a glass of juice to get rid of the after taste. It worked for my niece

good luck
