1. If you can access websites, try to run an antivirus online via symantec to see if this will determine IF you have virus/trojans in the first place. Next look up the actual virii and follow instructions from one of the anti-virus websites like
http://csrc.nist.gov/virus/ or http://securityresponse.symantec.com

This is key because a lot of virii/trojans change local host files to reference websites as 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and when fixing back ground virus damage can get your web capabilities back.

2. Get a good spyware removal tool, or two of them. Best ones out there now are Ad-aware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
Both are free. Let them run and find anything that is going on with spyware.
3. If your PC is still running slow, major damage might have occurred at the registry level. A good registry cleaner is CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com
With all this done..and having a clean system, you should be able to get restore back and your Yahoo mail should work.

I had quite a few of them wrong with my pc I had to get a new free virus control from online and scanned the WHOLE pc and it found about 20 Trojan Horse Viruses.. Which was really annoying but after that things started to work again. :)

Norton anti virus is rubbish it takes over your computer .... i hate it i will never install it again ever ! You cant get rid of it either way its always there lurking in some file (i had to format).... my advice is format the hard drive and do not install any norton programs !! Get AVG anti virus & spyware.
