Yes, it’s good to see the other side of the argument finally being broadcast. It’s a pity we don’t see it more often.
A lot of the reason why we don’t is, as the program said, the truth just isn’t very exciting. Who wants to watch a program that says “It’s ok, everything is normal, there’s nothing to worry about.” It wouldn’t get many viewers, would it?
On the other hand, if I quote some of what 'Spacephantom', above, said…
“…totally underestimated the rate at which global warming is occurring…”
“…accelerating global warming at an unprecedented rate…”
“…when that happens we're finished - the earth will become uninhabitable…”
“The scenario outlined above must be avoided at all costs.”
“Global warming is the most important issue facing the world today.”
“reduce carbon emissions by enough to avoid catastrophe.”
“Unprecedented”, “uninhabitable”, “catastrophe”? It’s good stuff, isn’t it? Just the sort of fire and brimstone stuff that religion has used to swell the ranks of its followers for millennia. And with about the same amount of proof for its claim too, I might add.
'Lunchboxoctober', above says…
“it doesn't matter WHO is creating global warming the point is that it still exists and we need to address the situation.”
No we don’t. Warming has happened in the past - most recently during the medieval warm period - and there was no catastrophe. In fact, the medieval warm period was a very prosperous time. If the warming does continue (and it’s a big “if”) we will probably find that we are net better off.
'Paul t', above, asks…
“Why do people assume, that because very few people believe something, it must be being 'gagged'.”
Well, perhaps it’s because our own Foreign Secretary, Margaret Beckett has said that climate sceptics are like people who support Islamic terrorism and shouldn’t be allowed access to the media. What’s that, if it’s not one of our top politicians trying to gag climate sceptics?
'Ernie', above, says…
“The problem that I have with people that deny the cause is that they have no answer. They seem to want us to accept the changes in the environment of something that is inevitable.”
No answer to what? That the climate of the Earth changes all on its own? Well, we *know* that that is true, so the warming we’re experiencing may well be inevitable, but, as I said above, should we be worried about that?
Hopefully the program will spark a more open and honest debate about global warming and the public will discover how ‘thin’ the alarmists’ case is.
Maybe then we can stop wasting time and resources on such a non-problem.

I don't know the answer to your question but i do know the Government's response to it is a sham.
I could reduce this countries carbon footprint by 40% without doing anything except cracking down on bad industry standards and our appalling misuse of our rail network.
Have now seen the show and agree with everything shown.
Additionally I had a friend who died ten years ago at the age of 84.
He was a marine engineer and studied ocean currents for 15 years.
He predicted 20 years ago this was about to happen.

An old politician told me recently. The government have got to convince us it's our fault whether it is or not, because they can at least blame us all for any consequence's.
I don't know if this is true, but certainly I know a lot of people seem that they have to believe it's 100% down to human activity, and aren't open to any other debate.
There certainly do seem to be a lot of conspiracy theories about, about this topic.

Why do people assume, that because very few people believe something, it must be being 'gagged'.
If it was being gagged there wouldn't be a documentary on the subject on channel 4.
And if the whole climate change thing is a big government conspiracy, why is the U.S. goverment so sceptical?
It seems there's much more money to be made from oil than there is from reducing carbon dioxide emmisions.
Just look at the people on each side of the argument and consider who has the most to gain.......

Two Neanderthals talking in a cave.
One says ''I blame the end of the Ice Age on Homo Sapiens Sapiens''
The other said '' I don't care, providing one doesn't move into our area and invent a car''

That was a fasnating insight in what global warming is all about, there was some hard evivence to what they where all saying, so it is true what they say about making up things so people can get goverment funding.
when i see the news about global warming i will think twice about what they are saying.

it doesn't matter WHO is creating global warming the point is that it still exists and we need to address the situation. If new research into global warming can address more issues causing it, fantastic, but it should not change our policies on greenhouse gas emissions and the articles of the kyoto accord, but simply be added to it. This is our planet for the rest of our lives, its time we stepped up and make sure its going to be here at the end of the day.

They are admitting that it is not ALL due to our existance. But it has increased by it. There has and always will be a NATURAL increase in global warming. The earth has been warming for thousands and thousands of years. But this rate HAS increased and WE have helped cause the rate to increase. If you actually look and think about this it does make perfect sense. Carbon levels all over the planet in every aspect as increased. I wonder why? Maybe some of it is us dont you think.

Here is the thing. If you don't want to believe that people are the cause fine. But are you going to deny the factual information that shows a hundred year trend that appears to be accelerating in our times.
The problem that I have with people that deny the cause is that they have no answer. They seem to want us to accept the changes in the environment of something that is inevitable.
I don't want to be explaining to our grandchildren that we sat by an did nothing because we didn't believe that we were the cause
