Definitely Monica Seles. The first time I saw her play, I absolutely hated her for being so loud. By the second time I saw her, I was a fan. She was so into the game itself. She clearly wanted to win every point, but you could tell she enjoyed tough competition.

Monica Seles, she's a hero cause of what she made through with the stabbing... And after I read her autobiography even more so, she's a great champion.
And then ofcourse Martina Navratilova, despite all the issues, she was a great athlete and will never fail to stand up for what she believes in, I admire this a great deal.
And then, Martina Hingis! 16 years old and she's number 1 !! And I always loved the press stories... She seriously said everything that came into her head, I found most of the things she said to be hilarious and rather true aswell, and if you lokk at her today, she just the greatest player and champion ever.

Gabriella Sabatini. I started watching women's tennis for an entirely different reason than the tennis itself. ;)
