evil forces of nature enter their minds, and they fall for it instead of the positive forces.

One factor is an over-abundance of laws.
Another is fear of getting caught for a lesser crime.
Another is focusing on not wanting to commit a particular crime.
Another is belief that one has no choice but to commit it.
Fear can NEVER be a deterrant, contrary to popular opinion, but is a strong factor in the cause of crime.
People who scream the loudest against crimes or criminals
are almost always doing so in order to push attention away from themselves.
These are the lesser known to the majority.

I feel there are so many it would be hard to put down all of them, it all depends on the person's personality, if they are mental or not, how they were raised, what crime they are doing, like if you have children and no means to feed, clothe, ect...people commit crimes every day from all lengths from raping to murder, to stealing or just telling a little white lie...I think it comes alot from your morals too...but, people will do things they normally wouldn't for their family, ect...so, there is so many factors that could play into this..

too many to count. you take into count every person in jail. some do it cause it is fun. way of life. how about in cold states during the weather to get out of the cold. homelessness: 3 meals a day, warm bed. no family, no discipline. it is easier to be a criminal than a hard working person. i had a inmate tell me once that he was a career criminal because that is all he was good at. i told him obvisouly not since he is in jail. some do it to get in a gang. the two top reasons women are in jail are: drugs and prostitution. they sell drugs and sell themselves because that puts food on the table for their children. i have had inmates tell me that it is my fault if they steal from me. i allowed them in my house. i should have made it harder. if they were sexual, physically, or emotionally abused as children. each inmate has their own terrible story. they have lived some of the worst lives. then there are the very few, that are just bored. i have been a corrections officer for 3 years and i still hear new stories.

I think that it initially starts from problems at home, whether it is because of neglect, abuse, poverty, mental instability, feeling mis-understood by their parents.
Then they start to form relationships with other people in similar situations.
Which usually leads to experimentation in drugs
They then have problems because of drugs and the environment that they are now in, and getting nothing but bad feedback from there new peers, there friends, which leads them to trying to distinguish between what is right (what they were taught) by there parents, verses what they are seeking from there friendships or if drugs are really involved this leads them to make induced decisions, which lead to crime, to help them obtain what makes them feel better.
I also heard in like serial murderers that they have some chromosome that is different.
I think with most individuals it starts there, and depending on your moral up bringing how you handle the situations you get into determine your outcome. Because by no means does everyone from these types of environments turn to lives of crime.
In street crimes I think it is mainly a poverty, drug stricken environment that leads to these.

many! in the drug world, the motive is easy money! kids today are running drugs at age 14 anad makinbg more money in a week than their father can in a monthy! so the lure of money is a big! factor in people getting involved in crime! heck, who wants to work at mcdonalds 40 hours a week when they can make 3,000 dollars a week running cocaine or meth! just ask men involved in the mafia! MONEY AND POWER ARE BIG MOTIVES IN CRIME! also, some kids come from violent backgrounds with their mother or father having spent time in prison, and never raised them right! ones parents arte big influence in how a kid will turn out! there are other social factors involved, and drug and alcohol abuse are big factors in violent crime! if i had to name the biggest factor in why people commit crime, it would be the lure!! of easy, illegal money!! drug traficking and money laundering!

I think that they have gotten to a place where they believe that the crime is their only option. They don't see any other path to take. It seems like the right and only thing that they can do at the time. They don't seem to be able to get past this place to be able to think about future consequences. They get stuck and so commit the crime.

The reason people commit crimes is because we have laws.
No Laws= no crime
Our society dictates norms and turn them into laws. Some people may not accept this and they turn against the law.

The factors that matter most are ecomomic class and education level. Those who are brought up in poverty where crime is more common are more likely to commit a crime themself. Secondly, those who are not educated make bad choices in life. They simply can't fully understand the risk they are taking.
