Find a new friend

I had a friend who did exactly the same to me, at first I thought it was sweet that she saw me as a role model, then I got annoyed that I couldn't do anything without her following suit. Same hair colour, nail polish, perfume, clothes, shoes, food for dinner... I was no longer original.

To cut a long story short it ended with her emailing my bloke behind my back for a few weeks and they eventually started sha&&ing, so beware the shadow!!

Talk to her, saying very politely that you are very flattered that she wants to be like you, but you are different for a reason. Copying is 1 of the highest forms of flattery!! Suggest you have at least one thing that you have that is individual to you and one thing that is individual to her. She may be really worried that she has to act, talk, look like you, or you will not like her! Say you like her just the way she is, it should increase her confidence.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I know it can be very irritating, I had a friend just like yours! (Long since drifted apart). It stems from insecurity, and I'm not sure you can do anything about it. Grin & bear it, or bail out!

my friend did the same everything I bought she had to have one better down to houses and cars and clothes. She even had children because I had them (both times) it is pathetic but it is down to self esteem issues on there part. There is nothing you can do but eventually you will get so pissed off with it that she will be an ex friend that is what happened to me

I witnessed this, one person becoming another, copying each others tastes, likes and dislikes! It was freaky at first, now it's just funny! As they don't realise how much they 'mirror' each other! I don't think in my case, it's one copying another, as they're both as bad as each other!
But if you don't like this friend doing it to you, TELL HER!!! If she takes it the wrong way, or denys it, she's not worth having as a friend!

you should be flattered..
after all imitation is the highest form of flattery..
not to mention she's your number one fan!
though it's probably really creepy.. having your friend
act like you..
here's the deal.. you should help her find her own thing.. give her something different.. give her ideas.. involve her in debates that way she'd come up with something on her own.. or involve her in a self-improvement project..coz seems like she hasn't found her place in the world yet..

If u like her becoming ur clone, then appreciate her. If not, then stay away from her. You can start by avoiding her until she gets tired w/ u... meB she just needed attention from someone like u, but she overdone it...

Well, it could be taken either way, If you like it then take it as a compliment...If it makes you uncomfortable then speak to her...There is abviously a friendship...Hold on to them!!!!
