It said________ has connected to you on Yahoo Answers. How do they do this? And I did not recognize the names, so why would they want to connect?

We have fans now it's almost like "big brother." Any body that likes your answer or your question can connect to you and view your every key stroke. If you don't know the person it could be kind of wierd. But I don't think it poses any threats. Y/A is for fun and info. Just have fun. Be talking to you.

Yahoo has this new BETA thing that I read this morning that allows people to invite you to a private forum so maybe suspensions are get a minimum. I quite don't understand it myself yet.

I think you can now connect with anyone you want to. The other person can then decide whether they want to connect with you, or not.

Its a new thing that YA has developed to help stalkers. Um, to keep people in touch. You can dump the whole thing by going into your YA profile and electing not to 'receive' fans.

You have "fans", it's part of the new BETA system, you can disable it, it's just people who like your Q's and A's and want to see when you ask/star/answer questions.
