I think gay and lesbian marriages should be legal all over the globe.

Who are these people who think they have a right to ban a union between two people who love each other?

I just don't get it.

Yes, it should be legal in India. If it's okay for heterosexuals to have rights, gays/lesbians should also have the same rights. Forget religion, this is not about religion, this is about humans and their right to live as they wish. They are not harming anybody are they? Why should anyone have a problem with it? All you need is an open-mind.

What is the meaning of term Marriage? It is means having conjugal relationship that will help in propagating the progeny in a legitimate manner. In simple words to give birth to legitimate kids. Now you tell me how a gays or lesbians give birth to kids leave aside legitimacy factor. Can two gays or lesbian by sexual relationship give rise to a child? Their sexual relationship will be just for their own enjoyment that will not propagate new progeny. After discussing this natural aspect I don’t think there is any need to discuss the legality of this issue, even if you make their marriage legal, abolish section 397 of Indian penal code that speaks about punishment for indulging in unnatural sex still they wont be able to give birth to their own children although they may adopt or indulge in sex with another person of opposite sex but still the child so born will not be having genes of both of them which any child born by normal couples has got.

No form of marriage should be legal in India in my humble opinion.

No, never. I will never be able to understand why human being acts in the way opposite to the norms set by God for us. God has made a sacred relationship between man n woman to extend humanity n thats the reason why he made a beautiful n sacred thing 'SEX'. It has not been made just to derive pleasure. As most of us know (other than gays and lesbians) that only the union of a man n a woman can give birth to another human being. Then why should we go against nature.

No. Marriage is between men and a women. one of the purpose of marriage is to extend the humanity by creating more human beings. Gay's when married ,they can not have babies , if we allow these marriages then who knows time will come when some one would want to get married to their horses and dogs. just because they feel like it , or they are in love with these animals. Its a free world, however there are some ethics that people have to follow.

Absolutely no. Neither Islam/Christianity religions nor Hindu culture allow such marriages.
Premarital, extramarital or unwed sexual activities are not barred / prohibited and are no offence in any Indian law. Wife’s sexual intercourse with other/s is also no offence, hence no prosecution or punishment to her. Pre marital sexual experiences (intercourse / coitus) with other/s cannot be a ground to seek divorce under Hindu/Special Marriage Act. Thus a female’s physical sexual relations with persons/s of her choice (with their consent) is not an offence or prohibited / barred in any Indian law and she is at liberty to enjoy SEX freely and fearlessly. A male’s physical sexual relations with any 16+ female (with her consent) is no offence or barred / prohibited in any Indian Law, unless she is in the wedlock of somebody else and is done knowing her wedlock or without her husband’s consent or connivance. Prostitution (commercial sex trade, offering sex for monetary gain) alone is an offence punishable in Indian laws. Yet no Station House Officer, Officer In Charge or Inspector of Police can arrest, enter, search or seize. Husbands & in-laws subjecting wife to mental or physical cruelty or demanding dowry are liable to be punished up to 3 years jail+fine for this non bail able offence.
All unwed sexual activities (pre/post/extra marital), homosexual acts, & other perverted sexual acts are specifically forbidden in Islam in clearly written unambiguous words. In Islam, unwed voluntary sexual intercourse also is a great sin punishable continuously in hell & heinous crime against government/society punishable with publicly lashing/ death by pelting stones.

No Indian law recognises such marriages but punishes for unnatural intercourse u/s 377 IPC.
