I seen a previous Question on here about Laying out, And the Main reason you couldnt lay out long is because you just get to HOT!..
Im 11weeks Pregnant we bought a Pool Last year, and My Best Friend has Offered to let me come over to her even bigger Pool this Summer Also. I LOVE to swim and when it isnt Hot Outside I go to our Local YMCA to Swim and Work Out.
My Question is If Im out in the Sun & Swimming I usually dont get to Hot, Could this Prolong my stay Outside?
Or After about 10-20 am I going to have to stay inside? :(

I *just* asked my doctor this same question - he said that with heat, the baby is fine (contrary to popular opinion). The main risk was that you get too overheated and may faint or pass out. Swimming is fantastic for pregnant women as it provides relief from swollen joints and takes some pressure off. The number one thing is just to listen to your body - if you feel yourself getting overheated then go inside for a bit, make sure to drink plenty of water to replenish what you may sweat out. And above all...HAVE FUN!!!

Go and lay out, it won't hurt you. I lived at the beach and in pools while I was pregnant. I actually did pool service up until my 8th month. I would have to put on tons of weights to be able to sit on the bottom of the pool! Enjoy the sun and the wind and all things natural. The unhealthy thing would be to sit inside and not get any sun or exercise. Swim your little heart out.

You will be completely fine! Sun gives you lots of vitamins (just wear sunblock!) and swimming is wonderful excercise. Just keep drinking lots of fluids so you don't dehydrate. Just think about it, women that live near the equator get pregnant everyday and they live in a HOT environment all the time!! Our bodies are amazing...it knows how to protect our babies inside!

You should be fine as long as you're wearing sun screen. If you start to feel woozy or sick or anything go inside for a break. You don't want to get sunburn though. Swimming is very good exercise along with being outside can be very relaxing. DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER!! Good Luck!

You can swim and layout, just make sure your temperature doesn't get too hot, if it does go right back to the pool. Good Luck, *Jessi*

You are fine to layout, or stay outside as long as you want as long as you don't feel faint! NO TANNING BEDS! That is what pregnant women are supposed to avoid. Go outside all you want!
