here is what I did for the first two
I 2 - xI < -4
Means that 2 - x < -4 or -2 + x < -4
When you solve both you find that x > 6 , or x < -2. Now I have forgotten how to write that in set notation, Hopefully you can do that.
Next,
Either 3x + 4 > -7 or -3x -4 > -7
So x > -11/3 or x <1
