11: Solve and write in interval notation: | 4 - 2x | < 6
(-∞, -5) U (1, ∞)
(-∞, -1) U (5, ∞)
(-5, 1)
(-1, 5)


12: Solve and write in interval notation: | x/3 + 1/4 | > 1/2
(-9/4, 3/4)
(-∞, -9/4) U (3/4, ∞)
(-∞, ∞)

here is what I did for the first two
I 2 - xI < -4
Means that 2 - x < -4 or -2 + x < -4
When you solve both you find that x > 6 , or x < -2. Now I have forgotten how to write that in set notation, Hopefully you can do that.
Next,
Either 3x + 4 > -7 or -3x -4 > -7
So x > -11/3 or x <1
