I don.t really know how.
But it happened to me when I was about six years old when I almost drown with my sister.

It was unforgettable experience that I still remember until this moment. Luckily I was safe by a friend of mine.
The last thing I remember, I was telling myself that I am going to die and my mum will be angry with me because I never take care of my little sister.

if you have a phobia:

try facing your worst fear . .

or drown your self... just don't over do it you might end up dead....
