Having heard some absolute horror stories from people on the ground in charity needing countries I'd be very wary about who I make a donation to in future.. Administration costs by some charities seems to mean them having a 5* lifestyle whilst you are staying and working in the poor country to whom the donation is being made, with luxuries that they probably would'nt even have at home!
It was very depressing to hear about so much being creamed off the top of honest donations by the fat cats for their 'advice' (I use this term loosely..). Until someone does a full investigation of this new world crime I will stick to local charities where I can see the results of my donations... I care much about the appalling conditions people in third world countries live with but if you give a £1 something as little as 5 pence will actually reach the people needing help the rest is drizzled away in unnecessary high salaries and expenses for executives and administators or held in 'emergency funds' that are never used!! the whole thing appears to suck and should be investigated Oxfam .. take note.....

No I find all the enforced 'wacky' and 'Zany' behaviour to be massively irritating. I will make my donation over the phone come the night. The same as I do for Children in Need and Sport relief but Im b uggered If Im gonna come to work dressed as Micky Mouse and sit in a bath of baked beans!!
Call me miserable if you like

No, I wouldn't want to risk offending someone with a green nose. Whole thing could get really messy.
