Im scared of it probley because i only recovered partially. I had NO movement for 7 months on that side. It has caused dental problems, and i cant smile without it being clear that ive had it, because 9 times out of 10 my right side doesnt move as much.

Bells palsy is facial paralysis involving the seventh facial nerve usually due to immune or viral agents. However, the cause can be completely unknown. The treatment as you already know is a round of corticosteroids. Even though so little is known about Bells palsy I can tell you that relapses can occur when a person is under extreme stress. This can be emotional or physical. Unfortunately, pregnancy counts as both. Getting plenty of rest, eating well balance meals, taking your prenatal vitamins, exercise on a regular basis and drink plenty of good old fashioned water is the very best medicine that you can give yourself. Also, try to take some time out just for you. Read a book, go to a movie or just meditate. You need to have 'down' time. Prayers for you and Your baby.

I had Bells with my second child it lasted about a month and a half at 5 months pregnant. I thought it was quite amusing. The one morning I woke up and my tounge was numb on the left side then I went to do my makeup for work and could hardly close my left eye to put on shadow, then I was trying to pucker my lips to put on lipstick and I couldnt. I recovered 100%. And never got it again. And have been pregnant 2 more times. I was told that it was because Jake was laying on a nerve. Good Luck!!!

Hello,
My best friend had it after her first baby, but did not have a relapse with her second. She recovered after like 6 months and she says she has some days when she feels a little tighteneing on that side, but nothing too bothersome.

I've had it three times, never pregnancy related. Why are you scared of a relapse? It's no big deal. It's mildly inconvenient nothing more. You can usually tell it's coming back by twitching on the affected side of the face and some numbness. It'll pass.
