Based solely on the ideal of the organization Moveon.org, who says that Fox is a mouthpiece for the Republicans? As a politician, wouldn't he want to get his message out to everyone, including Republicans? Does this highlight the fact that liberals really don't care at all about half the country?

So Barb, you've really sucked up all that the leftwing mouthpieces have had to say to you.

I don't believe he had the guts to say no. I believe his handlers and other Democratic leaders urged him to avoid this because of the anti-Fox rantings of his constituents, which are unfounded & untruthful.

Sampson, your ranting is proof of your ability to suck up what you've heard and respew it as more garbage. name calling & hatred. typical uneducated. when you call the president stupid, yet he got better grades & holds two degrees from ivy league schools. When was it that Kerry blew Bush out of the water? oh yea, musta been right before he lost the election.

What it shows is that Edward fears debating his foes.
I would think that as long as Edwards is going against Hillary, Obama, and other Dems, it should be no problem regardless of venue. Why is he so afraid? Is he an empty suit?
Does Edwards fear that the pro-Hillary Fox news will sandbad him? If so, is he totally clueless?
Sheesh

Edwards is scared. He has a right to be scared. B/c Fox news wouldn't let him spent 30 minutes talking about how Bush sucks, war sucks, and the Republicans suck--vote for me.
He wants to run an entire campaign based on "we've had a republican now lets have a democrat" like being democrat is the only issue anyone would care about.
He doesn't have the experience that the other democrats running against him have. In fact, some of them have 30 years in Senate. At least Hilary even attends Congress on behalf of NY. Edwards has approximately 1-2 years experience in Washington, and that experience only had him showing up at roughly 5 votes so he really has no idea how it's done. Then he abandoned his state and QUIT.
I can listen to people argue they love Edwards all they want, but I am from North Carolina and I know the facts. I know his track record and how dismal it really is. He doesn't want that mentioned. He doesn't want to acknowledge this early on that ALL the people in the democratic primary have more experience than he does and he is just running on his good looks.
He will not want to appear in any debates that will have questions. Fox news does keep asking the question until the candidates actually answer it. They don't let you spout off "Iraq is bad" when the question was about healthcare. And Edwards wants to keep turning this around to "vote for me b/c you hate Bush"--which is the stupidest reason to vote since BUSH ISN'T RUNNING!!
So yes it was a smart move for him to refuse to debate. As a candidate, you don't want to admit that all the country cares about is a pretty face. He makes great ads about his southern boy charm and the small lil mill town he is from that the moment he got elected to represent that town he loves to talk about HE QUIT. What's he going to do in the White House when things get hard? or he actually has to make a decision on something that matters?

Moveon.org is a front for the communist party and George Soros is the supreme soviet leader.
Fox is no more a mouthpiece for the RNC then the other alphabet networks are for the DNC. Something people don't get about propaganda. If one person shows truth, and it distorts a person's view of the world, for that person they see the person telling the truth as a mouthpiece for the opposition.
I see daily liberal slants and commentary from Chris Matthews, Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, and yet you libs don't see it as them being liberal mouthpieces.
Fox has the largest market share because they don't mince words, Journalists are no longer reporters as much as they are tools of Pravda.
Liberals tend to be elitists, John Edwards falls into this category. Edwards had a couple of bloggers working on his campaign who were bashing Christians, he got called on it by Bill O'Reilly. I am no fan of the chameleon Bill.. I think he is a pompous self agrandizing a*hole. But I will give him credit for exposing Edwards for the hypocritical scum he is.

No, If he can't convince a little group in a debate because the host is thought to be a mouth piece for the Republicans, than that tells me he is not very knowledgeable of the issues, he has his own agenda which does not include ALL the people of this nation, if he can't handle this, how can he handle the real stress and problems of the job. Will he have the backbone to handle it. No.....not a very wise move on his part at all.

Sorry, but it's a yes and no situation. Had he went there, he'd have probably been berated and disrespected in order to make him go off, then they'd broadcast it for several weeks to show his "instabilty". You remember what they did to Clinton, they made him go off. And being biased, odds are, they'd delete anything that'd make him look like a worthy candidate.
However, not doing so states cowardice. Several people have chosen to be interviewed or debate with the other side outside their safe zone (perhaps not Bush, but that's a different story). Instead of even attempting to debate politics with him, he "took his ball and went home", so to speak.
It's a double-edged sword, something you fail to realize. And next time, listen to yourself before you go criticizing others on "asskissing".

Fox Noise Channel could not mediate a preschool nap session, let alone a debate. Edwards could always get a debate anywhere. Why would he go to the lowest level when the audience has got predisposed ideas anyway?

I feel he is probably afraid to get out of his comfort zone...seems like he only wants to talk with people who share his same political beliefs, if he is really serious about being President he would want EVERYONE to know what his stances are, not just preaching to the choir...

I think it is a bad political move on his part. He needs to show that he is strong in his convictions and not fearful of facing any and every forum. All the candidates should do the same.

No, I'm not nuts about him, but admire him for having the guts to say "no" when he feels like it. Most politicians are whores and will do anything for a vote.
