In any relationship if you are real then you are honest. You don't have to disrespect the other person but you shouldn't have to walk on eggshells either. If you are talking about how you feel & you genuinely mean what you are saying, then you are being real.

Being real is being authentic and true to who you really are. it is being genuinely honest from the start about what is important to you, not just saying what you feel the other person wants to hear. People who are genuinely happy with themselves have the best ability to be "real" in all aspects and relationships of their life. They are confident enough to go forward even if something doesn't work out or a relationship fails. They love themselves enough to stay true to their beliefs and standards and will not fall apart if someone doesn't accept them for it.

Fake is the same as fraud in terms. Many people, especially early in relationships, have fear that they will offend or lose the person they are seeking because of something about themselves or certain behaviors. So, they become almost like actors as they try to create a new persona to "fit" the current situation they are in. It is like being a "chameleon" since they too have the ability to change their colors to reflect the environment they are in. In the long run, you just do yourself and the other person a huge dis-service by being fake. When the relationship starts to grow and get a bit more complicated, true feelings eventually come out and they are left wondering "who are you and where is that person I first knew".

It takes a very big person to always stay true to who they are. It can be done though and is so well worth it.

Hope that helped. Good luck.

Even fake people are real. Look at it this way. Even a person who acts "fake" is being real, that's just who they are. They are a real fake person. Sad, YES, but true. To be real with someone you must know them for decades. If they say they're real up front, they're not. Everyone is fake until you really get to know them and that can only be accomplished over time. It's all about perception, you think someone is cool now just give it a couple of years and I promise you won't feel the same as you do now, it'll either be better or worse

too many people call themselves real now adays and its retarded in my eyes. like what, where they not really people to begin with. simply all people can lie and do and all people arent true at all time to themselves and what they like and dont. its not supposed to be about whos real and whos not when it comes to a relationship but compatibility/ friendship , honesty, love trust and faith! if those things are ther than a relationship can be as well. there no real or fakes when it comes to human nature. each person is unique just like everyone else in this world. few things set us all apart! those who have been true to their hearts now have denied themselves that in the past. thats human nature.. thos things happen and there is nothing wrong with it if we can learn from it. then and only then we can accept life itself as being the twisted thing it is in all its beauty and wonder! thats the only reality that exists any more.the more my generation tries to be "real" the more "fake" it becomes!

A real friend is honest, and can accept your honesty no matter how much it hurts.

It is very easy to get sucked in by someone who is not a real friend it always comes out eventually.

As far as a relationship keeping it real is just another word for love, loving and being there for your mate or friend "no matter what."

If in a relationship someone is quick to point out that they are 'real' then they probably aren't and have something to hide. lol
