I admit I am hard on socks. I work 60 hours a week in a private home (in my socks). I take my sneakers on and off at least 6 times a day. I am constantly on my feet.
I need an everyday sock that won't droop or get holes easily.

I can speak for Hanes that I bought at Walmarts for my hubby.He is hard on socks, but these have lasted a while.I bleach them every time I wash them and they are 6 months old.I know I don't ever pay more than a dollar a pair for socks, and they came in a multiple pack.I'm sure that boys socks would be the same(for women to wear)Hope this helps...Cotton is always the best...

My niece bought me some Wigwam socks for Christmas; probably the best all-round brand of socks I've ever used (I walk 5+ miles a day at work). They're carried by some national retailers, just do a web search on them.

I've found "Gold Toe" to be very durable.
