yes, that is happening to me too , what I'm doing is to keep trying on the bottom of update , like 10 to 15 times before it works , i do not know why is that , but it works at the end ... so keep trying when it says error , try again several times .. it's gonna work after then...

I've just done an AVG7.5 update and it worked fine, so the problem is at your end. Have you just installed any new software? If so try uninstalling it. Is your internet connection open, can you surf to a site you'v not been to, try a search for fred and go to a result to prove your internet is working.

From my experience using anti spyware programs, their updates are not as frequent as anti virus programs. I also use AVG AntiSpyware, Spybot Search&Destroy and Ad-AwareSE. They don't have updates everyday. You only need to update at least once a week, unlike anti virus programs where you have to update every day if you use the internet every day.

I'd agree with Klute; "Sorry the server is not ready to serve" certainly isn't a standard response, even for a downed server at t'other end.
It was Grisoft you got it from, wasn't it?. If not, ditch what you have now & download from the grisoft site: www.grisoft.com.

I use AVG and have no problems with it. In fact, I have never seen any message like you describe. Uninstall the software, download afresh from Grisoft's website and re-install. Hopefully that would solve the problem.

It certainly shouldn't say that! 'The server is not ready to serve'. It sounds like it's been tampered with or you have a virus/worm/Trojan. You need a virus scanner. did you download the application from the original creators website?

Sounds you either need to update to 7.5 or your firewall is blocking the update.
