Yes, if that is what is specified in his will, providing the dollar amounts are left once the charges (debits) that the Dad owed are settled and there are any remaining funds.

What does the will say? If you are not the executor, you still have the right to see the will in person. The executor is not able to make these types of decisions, but the will and the attorney representing the deceased are the final say. If you are curious, ask to see the will. That could have been your father's wishes, I don't know. I do know that, for instance, here in PA, you have to leave a child $1,000 for the will not to be challenged, that is the minimum. Maybe that is the case in yours as well. Double check.

An executor follows what is written in the will and can in most states take a portion of the assets as payment for "reasonable service" as the executor. If there is a dispute about property value and cash disburement then the offended party will have to hire an attorney and contest the settlement of the estate.

Or, the offended party can think his siblings are jerks and let this divide their family forever. Or, they can say screw it I had my father for X years and I am bigger person than being petty about his things after he is gone. (and karma will come back to bite the other two in the butt later in life while he/she goes on to live happily ever after!)

Depends what the will says. The executor can't change the terms of the will.
