I've never had acne before, just a few pimples when I was a teenager. My period is only few days late and I'm testing negative but am really bloated and tired, and have had an explosion of really bad acne on my forehead. Has anyone else experienced this as an early pregnancy sign? Thanks!

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.

In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.

Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.

In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.

If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Yes it definately can be. I have 4 kids and in the beginning of my second pregnancy I broke out so bad that I had to see a dermatologist but he could only give me a topical medication treatment because anything else would have hurt the baby, mine were so bad I still have some scars to this day, I broke out in my temples and my cheeks, was horrible.

You're hormones are going crazy in the beginning so anything is possible with your body. For everyone the symptoms can be different and each pregnancy can be different. With my first pregnancy I had really bad morning sickness all through my first trimester, I could barely eat. I think I had a few dizzy spells too.

With my second pregnancy I knew I was pregnant before my cycle was even due because of the feeling I was getting in my lower abdomen, its like a stretchy/achey feeling, I cant explain it, when you're pregnant if you wear pants that press on your lower abdomen thats the feeling it gives you. With my 3rd pregnancy I started craving candy which was out of character for me. with my final pregnancy I knew I was pregnant when I was about 3 weeks before I even took a test, I was getting headaches, dizzy spells, and nausea. I pretty much get all of these symptoms give or take a few.

With me, I know this is going to sound weird but another reason I know that I"m pregnant is because when I'm pregnant I will suddenly find myself humming for no reason and when I stand I rock, kind of like when you're holding a baby and you rock the baby standing up. I do this all through my pregnancy right til the end, its subconscious.

So common symptoms early on are definately, nausea with or without vomiting, feeling dizzy, food aversions or cravings, like with me i love coffee and when coffee suddenly starts making me sick i know thats a sign too, headaches, fatigue, spotting which could be implantation bleeding, a crampy/achey feeling in your lower abdomen, sore/full breasts (your nipples also get darker), break outs but not with everyone.

Hmm i cant think of anything else, but you can do a web search to find out more info. Listen, go to an ob/gyn to be sure, or you can even go to a local planned parenthood center. The earlier you know for sure the quicker you can start taking care of your baby if you are pregnant, you will need to start taking prenatal vitamins etc. Good luck!

It can be but it can equally be other hormones! I was two months late and covered in pin prick spots, something i've never had, and lots of other symptoms. I tested negative and eventually came on but not before i was convinced i was pregnant of course! it can be a sign, hang on til you've missed two and then do another test in case you were too early to pick up the hormones.

good luck!

Your break out may actually signal that you are pregant. Hormonal changes in pregancy can really make your skin act up in ways you've never seen before. Usually it will settle down, so do not despair. Take another test soon.

I actually found that my skin improved while pregnant. I have been told that stress can contribute to acne as well. Also if you have bangs, the oil from hair can cause break outs.

I personally broke out in my first trimester of both my pregnancies. Don't worry it will be gone by your second tri and by your third tri your skin will glow :)
