Why isn't Christina Aguilera getting as much attention as Britney Spears?

Christina proved to be the far more talented and much better looking of the two, not to mention the more stable, and she released a great CD, "Back to Basics", this past year which barely made a blip, because of Britney Spears. Why is it that people continue to favor the apparently messed up Britney over the extremely talented Christina?

Britney spears is a phenomenon. She may even be in the top 5 most famous women on earth.

Why? She does have talent, and its a talent that appeals across the board. Hit Me Baby One More Time- that is an all time classic. For some reason guys around the world fell for her- the schoolgirl outfit, the mixing of sexuality with youth.

At the same time of development and remember they are about the same age, christina was singing Genie in a Bottle. Yes its a catchy tune, yes she was hot-- but it was no phenomenon.

Britney has always been a bit of a sweetheart to those following celebs. She has that little girl thing going and the cute voice. And a very natural quality- endearing. People have watched her go from heartbreak over that **** timberlake- to a disasterous marraige and 2 kids at a relatively young age-- and she is very inmature. Now she is bald and in rehab. Its like watching a movie going wrong.

Meanwhile xtina has kept her private life just that. She is boring by comparison. Married, stable, clever. A good role model.

Dirrty was good, she broke the boundaries, she moved forward womens ability to flaunt their sexuality. Then there was beautiful - she had a bit more weight and was brunette and she showed a bit of substance. This is a clever together chic.

But thats not going to sell out the house. People love simple good singing and dancing entertainment with a bit of sexiness that Britney provides way more, it is simpy more popular. Everyone is hoping she can come back. She has the X factor- maybe xtina does as well-- but Britney WAY more.

Xtinas back to basics was a little self indulgent, but good on her for blazing her own track and not cowtowing to the public. I mean jazz is not in for pop. And thats why back to basics isnt such a big hit.

I also think that Christina Aguilera is a very talented singer, she is way better than Britney Spears. The reason that i think why there is alot of controversy about Britney Spears, is because how she acts, she wants all the attention to her self, she wants people to notice her by her behavior. An example of this what she recently did to her hair. Christina Aguilera at the middle of her career she did get a little crazy, i think every artist has a crazy moment in the career path, she is a really great person from what i have noticed, and she dont want people to talk bad about her.

The media likes to exploit the negative as opposed to the positive, unfortunately, because those are the details for some reason that raise eyebrows, and thus sell magazines and make ET and etc...

Personally, I would much rather hear stories about, and listen to or view videos of Christina, because her talent and reputation are both far more superior to the likes of Britney Spears. And, girls growing up these days sure could use a role model such as Christina.

Christina got plenty of attention when she dressed and acted like a whore. I guess somewhere along the line someone reminded her that she is extremely talented and she can do just fine without the publicity. Who cares who gets the most attention. Christina will be putting out her 10th album in 20 years and Britney will be working at rite aid trying to pay her trailer lot rent.

Now why would Christina be jealous of her. Christina is a lot greater useful. Britney would be getting each and every of the attention yet for a bad reason. i in my view think of Christina is a much greater useful singer than Britney will ever be. Britney would desire to be the single jealous.

Christina is like a train running on schedule. Britney is of course the huge trainwreck that gathers all of the news and attention. People do tire of a disaster and leave it behind for the next big crash. In the end Christina will get where she is going. I know which train I'd rather ride.

What happens is that Britney is much more controversial because all the things she has done: Justin's girlfriend, marriage with a white trash, the two babies, a sex tape (I don't think it was her), baby's custody, no undies, party with Paris, drugs, alcohol, shave her head, rehab. and some other things...... Christina is like too quiet and let's be honest; her music is not as good as Britney's, Christina's song are too bored and when she came up with that dirty thing and pretending acting like a who*e a few years ago, she was being very ridiculous.

Britney is getting attention from the tabloid addicts but Christina is getting attention from people who recognize real talent. The nitwits gobble up this Britney soap opera drama while the rest of us appreciate artists who have something to offer. I love Christina's new "Candyman" video. It also has alot to do with the media force-feeding us crap. A pop "singer" who has a meltdown and shaves her head and goes into rehab sells more rags. I'll listen to Christina songs and watch her videos. They can stick their tabloid mags and TV shows up their azzes.

because someone smart got a hold of her. She did the attention getting "trashy" look to get her voice noticed amongst a sea of new "pop" music people, and now that she has secured a place in the music industry, dressing down and maturing is allowing everyone to focus on her amazing voice instead of being barely clothed. Kind of the same way Madonna has reinvented herself thorough out the years....Why would she want to be labeled in a class with Ms. Spears as an irresponsible nut job, someone Smart got a hold of her!

Because people prefer to see the more messed up person because it rings closer to home. Britney is more like someone you would see tramping it up in the grocery store. Christina is more out of reach.
