I would really like to hear from some business owners and people who make finacial decisions for their company. What is the best way to approach prospects and what gets the most positive response?

Know their needs before you contact them. As some one looking to purchase a business, I can tell you that there are many people who are content to waste time, both theirs and yours. Any business owner will not react positively if you can't demonstrate a clear understanding of what they need, and how your product or service fills that need. They'll see you as a time waster, and you won't get a second chance.

First you have to publish the position you want prospects for in a site in internet. Sales positions ara always people that are studying a career and need money to pay for it, or situations like that. You have to look for people who don't have much financial commitments that can earn by commision or so. Then you'll get a lot of e-mails and you can sit and analize all of them, and then start calling the group you pre-select for the position for some interviews and evaluations dpending on what you require for the job.

This internet sites (like yahoo hot jobs) can help you a lot, because you can adds ome filters depending on what you're looking for.
