If you need a serious answer to your question I truly believe that the most powerful
person-institution in the world is (and has been for centuries) the Pope.
The Vatican has enormous influence throughout the world even to non-catholic or no-Christian countries. Its been in the business of controlling people, nations and countries for centuries.
