I know that a man's sperm can survive in a woman's body for up to 72 hours. To put it in persepctive for you....I am sure that you have heard of the morning after pill. This pill, for example, is only effective up to 72 hours after a man ejaculates in a woman. After that window of time, the pill is not as effective and you may be more suseptible to becoming pregnant.
