How about the impact of the internet on todays society. And the first generation of "onliners" compared to todays generation.

What did we do when we didnt have the internet? How the internet has made things easier, how the internet binds soceity togther, internet dating, governmental issues with security and able to catch internet stalkers using retreived information from personal computers, has the number of "stalking incidents" risen since the birth of chat rooms. The list is endless and guaranteed a "HOT" topic in a college campus. Every single student will be able to relate to what your talking about.

The importance of seat belts & this epidemic of teen drinking/driving deaths. You could gather some statistics and photographs of wrecked cars, mothers crying uncontrollably, funeral photos. Other young kids attending funerals of there friends, and their absences such as from their graduation, there christmas gifts under the tree, empty place setting. Something that will make an impact.
We have had 6 deaths and several almost death wrecks in our small town, seniors, juniors and freshmen at college in the past 2 yrs. It is horrible way for a mother to suffer for the rest of her life to loose a child especially like that! So useless and a waste of life!
