SM Bus is a "System Management Bus Controller" it's used to communicate with low-bandwidth devices on a motherboard like power chips and temperature sensors or battery on a laptop. If you're having a problem with it, reinstall (or install) your chipset drivers (Intel, VIA, nForce, SiS, AMD) the PC will work without it being properly installed, but not at full force (Just like when you don't have your chipset installed, you can still use your AGP slot, but it shows up as PCI). If you have more questions, or if I didn't give you what you wanted to hear, update your question or msg me. Good Luck
