Amtrak will take you to Emeryville or Jack London Square Oakland, I believe they bus you across the bridge from one or both points. Or you could ride to Jack London and take a ferry across the bay/walk to 12th st. bart station. You can take BART to the Richmond station, then transfer to Amtrack at the same station and take Amtrack right into downtown Sacramento.
