oh yea because if u have a guy 6 foot against someone almost double his height its gonna be a big disadvantage because when the player that is 6 foot shoots the guy is gonna be so tall that he would even have to block it his body would just block cuz he would taller than the damn rim i think the height needs to be 8 foot thats it .

Basket ball hoops used to be lower, but when they kept getting taller and taller players, they raised the hoops. Chances are if there was a healthy basketball player of 10 feet *(which is somwhat of an oximoron) then they would raise the hoops again

That would be like letting Midgets play to. Dont think thats going to happen anytime soon. I can see it now.....The Oompa Loompas against the 10foot freaks of nature. I would pay big money to see that matchup....hey maybe you have someting here.

not sure what they would do..but as a response to the other guys answer..the rim's height is one of the remaining rules that never changed...
