A pair of vintage slouch cowboy boots from England for the bargain price of $300 bucks (plus shipping). The boots never arrived, and the seller was an absolute prick. He swore at me, called me a thief, and a w-h-o-r-e, etc. He was just horrendous! He tried every trick imaginable until Paypal forced him to give me a refund. I left negative feedback even though he insisted he deserved postive feedback for even letting Paypal force his hand.

Six months after I bought the boots, the damned things showed up on my doorstep with a couple of bizarre post marks on them. I thought about re-sending the money but...well let's just say I donated a hundred bucks to the local foodbank and called it even. I still get compliments on those boots every time I wear 'em ;o)

I bought a collector's patch and then 2 years later sold it for an 80% profit after a couple of people got in a knockdown drag out fight right before the auction ended. If I could do that everyday I'd never leave Ebay for Yahoo Answers!

It's a toss up between a pair of Skechers boots that cost me £11.50 (the normal price in the shop is around £50) and a Goo Goo Dolls ticket for Brixton Academy last year.

Concerts tickets. Always better online than buy in shops.

A lovely set of fish knives - only to be told by my daughter that they're not "in" any more.
